The Dupuis Langen Group is a long-established Richmond, B.C. Employee Benefits Consulting firm experiencing ongoing growth. We have an immediate opening for an Account Manager, Employee Benefits to join our team.
The position is a permanent full-time role and includes supporting Benefit Consultants in effectively managing, servicing and retaining an assigned block of group client accounts from initial contract phase to the post-sale service and renewal phases of the client relationship. Account Managers are responsible for delivering high-level customer satisfaction of group accounts assigned to their care.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Market surveys on new and existing groups, managing timelines effectively and prepare comprehensive report of market survey results or annual renewal report
* Analyze proposals, create cost illustrations and premium projections
* Prepare and manage all documentation and deadlines involved in completing the sale process
* Track carrier amendments and review plan materials and documents to ensure accuracy
* Generate new plan announcements and benefit summaries
* Create PowerPoint presentations, record webinars, deliver plan administrator training
* Schedule meetings for Consultants to introduce new benefit plan or renewal
* Develop and maintain close rapport with plan administrators
* Negotiate rate adjustments and/or benefit changes when necessary
* Review existing plan design for competitive rates and appropriate funding methods
* Respond to enquiries within service time frames
* Compose written communication to clients
* Assist other team members as required
Education and Experience :
* University degree preferred
* Minimum 2 years’ industry experience in the benefits industry in a similar role
* Must have a GBA designation or currently working towards
* CEBS designation an asset
Skills:
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills
* Knowledge and use of Dynamics 365 an asset
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able to focus under pressure
* Strong attention to detail, problem-solving and analytical skills
* Excellent organizational and time management skills
* Ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously while staying on-track and meeting deadlines
* Excellent oral and written communication skills (speaks and writes clearly and articulately)
* Takes ownership of the role, exhibits passion and excitement with a can-do attitude
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
